A quick and indulgent dessert dip made with cream cheese, caramel sauce, and toffee bits, perfect for fall gatherings or last-minute snack emergencies. Ready in 10 minutes with no baking required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 34 medium apples (such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji), for serving
  • Optional garnishes: extra caramel drizzle, flaky sea salt, chopped pecans, or cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Remove from fridge at least 30 minutes before starting. If in a hurry, cut into cubes and microwave on low power in 10-second bursts until soft but not warm.
  2. Whip the cream cheese: Place softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth, fluffy, and lump-free. Scrape down sides and bottom halfway through.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla: With mixer on low, gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Once incorporated, increase speed to medium and beat for another minute until silky.
  4. Add heavy cream: Pour in heavy cream and beat on medium-high for about 30 seconds until lighter and more spreadable, similar to thick frosting.
  5. Fold in caramel: Drizzle 1/4 cup caramel sauce over cream cheese mixture. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold in with 3-4 strokes, leaving ribbons of caramel (marbled effect).
  6. Fold in toffee bits: Sprinkle 1/3 cup toffee bits over top. Fold gently until evenly distributed. Reserve remaining toffee bits for garnish.
  7. Transfer to serving bowl: Scoop dip into serving bowl and spread into an even layer. Use back of spoon to create swirls and peaks if desired.
  8. Chill (optional but recommended): Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors and firm up dip.
  9. Garnish and serve: Just before serving, drizzle remaining 1/4 cup caramel sauce over top. Sprinkle with reserved toffee bits and optional garnishes. Arrange apple slices around bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

Room temperature cream cheese is essential for a smooth dip. Do not overmix the caramel; leave ribbons for visual appeal. Tart apples like Granny Smith balance the sweetness. The dip firms up after chilling; if too firm, let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 4 days. Not recommended for freezing.
