A creamy, no-cook overnight oats recipe with peanut butter and banana that’s perfect for busy mornings. Just five minutes of prep and you wake up to a delicious, filling breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, extra peanut butter, granola, dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe banana in a jar or small bowl until mostly smooth.
  2. Add the milk, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and maple syrup or honey (if using). Whisk or stir until the peanut butter is fully incorporated.
  3. Stir in the rolled oats, chia seeds (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Seal the jar or cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. If too thin, add a few more oats and let sit for 30 minutes.
  6. Add desired toppings and serve cold or warm (microwave for 30-45 seconds).

Notes

Use rolled oats for best texture; avoid steel-cut. The riper the banana, the sweeter the oats. A pinch of salt enhances flavor. For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and yogurt, and maple syrup instead of honey. Oats keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
