A quick and easy recipe for crispy salmon bites cooked in an air fryer and coated with a sticky, sweet, and spicy honey sriracha glaze. Perfect as a snack or small plate with a satisfying crunch and tender inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs (optional for extra crispiness)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Chopped green onions or fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut salmon fillets into roughly 1-inch cubes and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and panko breadcrumbs if using. Coat evenly but do not soak.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Arrange salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping halfway through, until salmon has golden crispy edges and is opaque inside.
  6. While salmon cooks, whisk together honey, sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Adjust sweetness or heat to taste.
  7. Transfer cooked salmon bites to a serving bowl, drizzle the honey sriracha glaze over them, and toss gently to coat.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro and serve immediately for maximum crispness.

Notes

Pat salmon dry before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking. Glaze after cooking to prevent burning sugars. For gluten-free, use tamari and gluten-free breadcrumbs or skip breadcrumbs. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness. The glaze can be prepared ahead and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
