This Easy Caramel Apple Cinnamon Sangria is the perfect party drink—simple to make, budget-friendly, and bursting with caramel, apple, and cinnamon flavors. It’s a crowd-pleaser that looks stunning and tastes even better after chilling overnight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple brandy or Calvados
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 2 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), thinly sliced
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 cup apple slices for garnish
  • Optional: fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Extra caramel sauce for rim (optional)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar for rim (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the caramel rim (optional): Pour about 1/4 cup caramel sauce onto a small plate. On another plate, mix 1/4 cup brown sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Dip the rim of each glass into the caramel sauce, then immediately into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Gently twist to coat evenly. Set aside to dry.
  2. Slice the apples: Wash apples thoroughly. Leave the skin on. Cut into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. Remove seeds from center slices. Set aside 1/2 cup of the prettiest slices for garnish.
  3. Mix the liquid base: In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, apple brandy (if using), and simple syrup. Stir gently with a wooden spoon.
  4. Add the caramel: Pour in the 1/2 cup of caramel sauce. Stir slowly until fully dissolved.
  5. Add the fruit and spices: Drop in the apple slices (not the garnish ones) and the cinnamon sticks. Stir gently.
  6. Chill: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Serve: Give the sangria a gentle stir. Fill each caramel-rimmed glass with ice cubes (optional). Pour sangria over ice, including some apple slices and a cinnamon stick in each glass. Top with a fresh apple slice from reserved garnish. Add a rosemary sprig if desired.

Notes

Don’t skip the chilling time—flavors need time to meld. Adjust sweetness based on caramel sauce used. For parties, make a double batch. The caramel rim is optional but highly recommended for presentation.
