This easy Halloween Candy Corn Bark with White Chocolate is a quick, simple, and festive treat that comes together in about 15 minutes of active time. It’s the perfect last-minute dessert for Halloween parties, classroom treats, or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)
  • Chopped pretzels (optional, for topping)
  • Halloween sprinkles (optional, for topping)
  • Chopped nuts like pecans (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth and melted (about 1.5 to 2 minutes total).
  3. Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Using a rubber spatula or offset spatula, spread it into an even rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. While the chocolate is still wet, scatter the candy corn evenly over the top. Gently press each piece down just slightly so it sticks.
  5. If using, sprinkle flaky sea salt, chopped pretzels, or sprinkles over the top.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set.
  7. Once set, lift the bark from the pan using the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and break it into irregular pieces with your hands or cut into squares with a sharp knife.

Notes

Don’t overheat the white chocolate; microwave in short bursts. Use room temperature candy corn to prevent the chocolate from seizing. For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free white chocolate chips and refined coconut oil. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
