A bubbling, green, gloriously creepy punch that looks like a witch’s cauldron but uses simple, budget-friendly ingredients. No dry ice needed—just lemonade, limeade, and lime sherbet for a magical fog effect that kids love.

  • 1 (64-ounce) bottle of lemonade, chilled
  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 4 cups cold water (or club soda for extra fizz)
  • 1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up), chilled
  • 1 (1.75-quart) container lime sherbet
  • Optional for garnish: Gummy worms, plastic spider rings, or a ‘severed’ finger made from a frozen hot dog

Instructions

  1. Chill everything first. Make sure your lemonade, limeade concentrate, and lemon-lime soda are all very cold.
  2. In your large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the chilled lemonade, the thawed limeade concentrate, and the 4 cups of cold water (or club soda). Stir gently with a ladle until the concentrate is fully dissolved.
  3. Slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda. Pour it down the side of the bowl to keep as much carbonation as possible. Stir very gently—just a few swirls.
  4. Using an ice cream scoop, drop generous scoops of the lime sherbet into the punch. Don’t stir it in! Just let the scoops float on top.
  5. Add your creepy garnish. Drop a few gummy worms over the edge of the bowl, toss in some plastic spider rings, or float frozen peeled grapes as ‘eyeballs’.
  6. Serve immediately. This punch is best enjoyed within the first hour of making it, while the sherbet is still melting and the fizz is strong.

Notes

For the best color, use a limeade concentrate that’s a vibrant green. If the punch looks more swampy green than bright witchy green, use less water and more limeade concentrate. Don’t over-stir—the beauty is in the layers. Keep the soda chilled until the last minute to maintain fizz. This punch does not store well; serve immediately.
