These quick no-bake peanut butter protein balls come together in under 10 minutes with simple pantry ingredients. They’re soft, chewy, and perfect for a healthy snack or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats (90g)
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (130g)
  • 1/3 cup honey (110g)
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (30g)
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed (14g)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (45g)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, ground flaxseed, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir together until evenly distributed.
  2. Add the wet ingredients. Pour in the peanut butter and honey. If using chocolate chips, add them now. Stir until a thick, cohesive dough forms. Use your hands at the end to work everything together.
  3. Check the consistency. The dough should hold together when squeezed. If too dry, add a teaspoon of water or milk. If too sticky, add a tablespoon more oats.
  4. Roll into balls. Using your hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls. You should get about 12 to 15 balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
  5. Chill. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. For a quicker option, freeze for 15 minutes.
  6. Enjoy. Once firm, they’re ready to eat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

Taste the dough before rolling to adjust sweetness or saltiness. Wet your hands if the dough sticks. For uniform balls, use a small cookie scoop. The flavors develop over time, so they taste even better on day two or three.
