A quick, healthy, and customizable homemade version of classic Lunchables with turkey, cheddar, and crackers. Ready in 5 minutes with simple ingredients, perfect for lunchboxes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 slices roasted turkey breast, thinly sliced
  • 46 slices cheddar cheese, cut into small squares or cubes
  • 1620 mini crackers (Ritz, Club, or buttery round crackers)
  • 1 small apple, handful of grapes, or berries (optional)
  • Baby carrots, cucumber slices, or bell pepper strips (optional)
  • A few dark chocolate chips, mini cookie, or square of dark chocolate (optional)
  • Small container of honey mustard, ranch, or hummus (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Take turkey and cheese out of the fridge and let sit for 5 minutes to make cheese easier to cut and turkey less likely to tear.
  2. Cut the cheese: Using a sharp knife or small cookie cutter, cut cheddar slices into small squares or fun shapes, about 1 inch by 1 inch. If using cheese cubes, cut into even pieces.
  3. Slice the turkey: If turkey slices are large, cut into quarters or smaller pieces that match the size of your crackers.
  4. Wash and prep fruit and veggies: Rinse grapes or berries and pat completely dry. Slice apples and toss with a little lemon juice to prevent browning. Cut carrots or cucumber into sticks.
  5. Assemble your box: Place crackers in one compartment, turkey pieces in another, and cheese squares in a third of a bento box or lunch container.
  6. Add the extras: Fill a small silicone cup with dip. Place fruit in one section and veggies in another. Add small treat in its own spot.
  7. Pack it up: Close lid and refrigerate until ready to eat. For school lunches, pack an ice pack to keep everything cold.

Notes

Keep crackers separate from moist ingredients to maintain crunch. Let cheese sit at room temperature for better flavor. For bulk prep, cut cheese and turkey for the week on Sunday and store separately. Don’t stack crackers under heavy items to avoid breakage.
