Ingredients

Scale
  • Red Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold vodka or clear spirit of your choice
  • White Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) coconut milk (full-fat for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold vodka
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar (optional)
  • Blue Layer: 1 package (3 oz / 85 g) blueberry or berry-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) cold vodka

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red layer: Dissolve strawberry gelatin powder in 1 cup boiling water and stir well.
  2. Add 1/2 cup cold vodka to the red gelatin mixture and mix gently.
  3. Pour the red mixture evenly into shot glasses or molds, filling about 1/3 of each container.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes until firm but slightly tacky.
  5. Prepare the white layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
  6. Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over the bloomed gelatin and stir until dissolved.
  7. Add coconut milk, sugar (if using), and 1/2 cup cold vodka to the white mixture and stir.
  8. Slowly pour the white mixture over the red layer using the back of a spoon to keep layers separate.
  9. Chill again for 30-45 minutes until set but still tacky.
  10. Prepare the blue layer: Dissolve blueberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water and stir in 1/2 cup cold vodka.
  11. Gently pour the blue gelatin over the white layer using the back of a spoon.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight until fully set.
  13. Serve chilled, either in the cups or popped out from silicone molds.

Notes

Allow each layer to chill until firm but still tacky to ensure layers stick well. Pour layers slowly over the back of a spoon to maintain crisp lines. Use full-fat coconut milk for creamier white layer. Alcohol can be substituted with fruit juice or sparkling water for a non-alcoholic version. Best enjoyed within 3 days refrigerated.
