A quick and easy dessert charcuterie board combining rich chocolate varieties with fresh fruit and crunchy treats, perfect for any occasion and effortless entertaining.

Ingredients

  • Dark chocolate bars or chunks (70% cocoa or higher)
  • Milk chocolate squares or chips
  • White chocolate pieces or bark
  • Strawberries, halved
  • Blueberries
  • Red and green grapes, whole or halved
  • Apple slices, thin
  • Figs, quartered (optional)
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Almonds or mixed nuts, lightly toasted
  • Mini pretzels or biscuit sticks
  • Honey or fruit preserves
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit (10 minutes): Wash all fruit thoroughly. Slice strawberries in half and apples into thin, even slices to avoid browning—dip in a little lemon juice if desired. Quarter figs if using. Keep grapes whole or halved depending on size. Dry all fruit with paper towels to prevent sogginess on the board.
  2. Chop the Chocolate (5 minutes): Break dark, milk, and white chocolate bars into bite-sized chunks or squares. Scatter chocolate chips or bark as is.
  3. Toast the Nuts (5 minutes): In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast almonds or mixed nuts until fragrant and golden (about 3-4 minutes). Stir often to avoid burning. Let cool.
  4. Arrange the Board (10 minutes): Use your serving board as a canvas. Place small bowls with honey or preserves in corners or center. Scatter chocolate pieces around the board. Fill gaps with fruit clusters, grouping similar colors for vibrancy. Add nuts and pretzels evenly for crunchy texture. Finish with fresh mint leaves for garnish.
  5. Final Touches: Fill any empty spaces with extra berries or chocolate shards to create balance and fullness. Serve immediately or cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Prepare fruit and chop chocolate just before assembling to prevent browning and melting. Toast nuts shortly before use for best flavor. Keep the board cool but not cold to maintain chocolate texture. For gluten-free, omit pretzels or use gluten-free crackers. For vegan, use dairy-free chocolate and substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
