Quick and easy caramel apple slices made with a lightened yogurt-caramel drizzle and crunchy toffee bits. Ready in 20 minutes, this healthy dessert is perfect for fall gatherings or a late-night craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup date caramel sauce
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons toffee bits
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples. Core and slice into thin rounds (about 1/4-inch thick) or wedges. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together date caramel sauce, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt and stir.
  3. Arrange apple slices on a serving plate in a single layer, slightly overlapping, in a fan or circular pattern.
  4. Drizzle the caramel-yogurt mixture evenly over the apple slices.
  5. Sprinkle toffee bits (and optional nuts or chocolate chips) evenly over the top.
  6. Finish with a final light sprinkle of flaky sea salt. Serve immediately.

Notes

Best eaten within 30 minutes of assembling. For make-ahead, prep components separately and assemble just before serving. For a vegan version, use coconut yogurt and dairy-free toffee bits. For a nut-free option, skip nuts and double the toffee bits or add crushed pretzels.
