A festive and easy-to-assemble star-shaped patriotic charcuterie board featuring a balanced mix of cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, crackers, and a honey mustard dip, perfect for summer celebrations.

Ingredients

  • Sharp white cheddar cheese (e.g., Cabot)
  • Creamy Brie cheese
  • Blue cheese crumble (or feta as a milder substitute)
  • Thinly sliced pepperoni
  • Prosciutto
  • Mild salami
  • Ripe strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Red grapes
  • Water crackers
  • Multigrain crackers
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Honey mustard dip (1/4 cup Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons honey, splash of apple cider vinegar)
  • Marinated olives
  • Roasted almonds (or walnuts/pecans as substitutes)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice sharp cheddar and Brie into star shapes using a star-shaped cookie cutter. Chill Brie slightly before cutting for easier slicing. Arrange cheese stars in the center of the serving board, slightly overlapping to create a layered effect. (Approx. 10 minutes)
  2. Fold pepperoni, prosciutto, and salami into small rosettes or loose piles. Place around the cheese stars, filling gaps but leaving space for fruits and crackers. (Approx. 8 minutes)
  3. Use the star-shaped cookie cutter to outline star points on parchment paper, then fill each with blueberries, sliced strawberries, and grapes. Transfer fruit clusters to the points of the cheese stars on the board. (Approx. 7 minutes)
  4. Tuck water crackers and multigrain crackers into spaces between meats and cheese. Bundle pretzel sticks in small piles for added crunch and salty flavor. (Approx. 5 minutes)
  5. Spoon honey mustard dip into a small bowl and set on one side of the board. Add bowls of marinated olives and roasted almonds on the other side for balance. (Approx. 3 minutes)
  6. Scatter fresh mint leaves and a few edible flowers over the board for a fresh, festive touch. (Approx. 2 minutes)

Notes

Chill Brie before cutting to maintain shape. Arrange meats in rosettes for easy grabbing. Keep fruits chilled before assembling to prevent sweating. Assemble close to serving time for freshness. Substitute ingredients as needed for dietary preferences. Leftovers keep up to 24 hours refrigerated; reheat crackers briefly to restore crunch.
