A simple, quick, and protein-packed snack bowl combining creamy small-curd cottage cheese with fresh or frozen fruit, nuts, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for busy mornings, post-workout refueling, or anytime snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225 g) small-curd cottage cheese
  • ½ cup (75 g) fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)
  • ½ small banana or apple, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1 cup (225 g) of small-curd cottage cheese and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of ground cinnamon gently with a spoon or small whisk to keep the curds intact.
  3. Slice ½ a small banana or apple thinly. Rinse berries under cold water and pat dry if using.
  4. Fold the sliced fruit and 1 teaspoon of chia seeds or flaxseeds into the cottage cheese mixture gently to avoid bruising the fruit.
  5. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds or walnuts on top, then drizzle 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup over the bowl.
  6. Optionally, give a light stir to distribute nuts and drizzle or leave them on top for crunch. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use small-curd cottage cheese for creamier texture. Keep nuts separate if prepping ahead to maintain crunch. Splash almond milk to loosen cottage cheese if too thick. For dairy-free, substitute with thick coconut yogurt and pumpkin or sunflower seeds for nuts. Adjust sweetness to taste or use stevia/monk fruit for lower sugar.
