Quick Spider Web Chocolate Bark - featured image

A quick and easy chocolate bark with crunchy pretzels and a spider web design made with white chocolate. Perfect for last-minute bake sales, parties, or a simple weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels, crushed
  • Optional: flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Line a standard baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels in a ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin or heavy pan until pieces are pea-sized or smaller.
  3. Melt 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and glossy.
  4. Pour melted chocolate onto prepared baking sheet and spread into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle (about 9×12 inches).
  5. Sprinkle crushed pretzels evenly over chocolate and gently press them into the chocolate so they are slightly embedded.
  6. Melt 1/2 cup white chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.
  7. Transfer melted white chocolate to a small ziploc bag, snip off a tiny corner, and drizzle in zigzag lines across the bark.
  8. Use a toothpick or skewer to drag through the white chocolate lines in one direction, then the opposite direction, to create a spider web pattern. Do 3-4 drags each way.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or freeze for 15 minutes) until completely firm.
  10. Lift parchment paper and break bark into irregular pieces with your hands. Serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Press pretzels gently into chocolate so they stay embedded. Work quickly with white chocolate as it sets fast. For best texture, let bark sit at room temperature 5-10 minutes after chilling. Humidity can prevent chocolate from setting properly.
