A quick and easy non-alcoholic Halloween punch made with rainbow sherbet, ginger ale, and orange juice concentrate that creates a spooky, bubbling cauldron effect. Ready in under 5 minutes, it’s a crowd-pleaser for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon (3.8 liters) rainbow sherbet
  • 2 liters ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 cup (240 ml) lemon-lime soda (optional)
  • Ice ring or ice cubes (optional, for serving)
  • Gummy worms or plastic spiders for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ice ring (optional but recommended): The night before or at least 4 hours before your party, fill a ring mold or small bundt pan halfway with water. Add gummy worms, plastic spiders, or fresh fruit like orange slices and cranberries. Freeze until solid, then add more water to fill the mold completely. Freeze overnight.
  2. Chill your ingredients: About an hour before serving, put the ginger ale and lemon-lime soda in the refrigerator. The sherbet should be slightly softened but still scoopable—about 10 minutes at room temperature is perfect.
  3. Set up your serving station: Place your punch bowl or dispenser in a central location. If you’re using a punch bowl, put it on a sturdy table with cups nearby.
  4. Add the thawed juice concentrate: Pour the thawed orange juice concentrate into the bottom of your punch bowl.
  5. Pour in the ginger ale: Slowly pour the chilled ginger ale down the side of the bowl to minimize fizz loss.
  6. Add the lemon-lime soda (if using): Gently pour in the lemon-lime soda.
  7. Scoop in the sherbet: Using a large ice cream scoop or spoon, add generous scoops of rainbow sherbet to the punch. Don’t stir yet—let the sherbet float on top.
  8. Add the ice ring: Carefully unmold your ice ring by running warm water over the outside of the mold for about 10 seconds. Gently slide the ice ring into the punch bowl.
  9. Stir gently once: Give the punch one or two gentle stirs to incorporate the flavors slightly. Don’t overmix.
  10. Serve immediately: Ladle the punch into cups, making sure each serving gets some of the sherbet and a few bubbles. Garnish with a gummy worm or a plastic spider for extra Halloween flair.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut or pineapple sorbet instead of sherbet. For a lower-sugar version, use diet ginger ale and no-sugar-added juice concentrate. The punch is best served immediately; do not store once mixed. Leftover punch can be frozen into popsicles.
