A fizzy, creamy, and spooky Halloween punch made with orange sherbet, lemon-lime soda, and creepy garnishes like lychee eyeballs and gummy worm ice cubes. Perfect for parties and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 quart (4 cups) orange sherbet (e.g., Breyers or Häagen-Dazs)
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
  • 2 cups cranberry juice (optional, unsweetened)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • Gummy worms (for ice cubes)
  • 1 can lychee fruit (for eyeballs)
  • Blueberries (for eyeballs)
  • Dry ice (optional, for fog effect)
  • Ice cubes (or spooky ice cubes made with gummy worms)

Instructions

  1. Make the spooky ice cubes at least 4 hours ahead: Place one gummy worm in each compartment of an ice cube tray, fill with water or lemon-lime soda, and freeze until solid.
  2. Prepare the lychee eyeballs at least 1 hour ahead: Drain canned lychee fruit, gently stuff one blueberry into the center of each lychee, and refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Chill all ingredients (soda, juices, sherbet) for about 30 minutes before serving.
  4. In a large punch bowl, combine cranberry juice (if using) and pineapple juice. Stir gently.
  5. Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda along the side of the bowl to minimize fizzing. Stir gently.
  6. Scoop the orange sherbet into the punch in large dollops or small balls. Do not stir too much; leave some chunks for visual appeal.
  7. Float the lychee eyeballs on top, add the spooky ice cubes, and if using dry ice, add it with tongs just before serving.
  8. Serve immediately by ladling into cups, ensuring each serving gets a few eyeballs and a spooky ice cube.

Notes

For best results, serve within 30 minutes of adding sherbet. If using dry ice, ensure the room is well-ventilated and never add it directly to a drinking glass. For a kid-friendly version, skip the dry ice and use plastic cups. The lychee eyeballs can be made up to a day in advance. Leftover punch can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, but carbonation and texture will diminish.
